The Animal Research Platform is designed to provide experimental animals and technical services by feeding small animals as a support for hydrogen medicine experiments.
Many of the major discoveries in medicine are closely related to animal experiments. Modern research on etiology and diagnosis, whether macroscopic or microscopic, requires the use of experimental methods, mainly adopting higher animals as the objects, and gradually extending the results obtained from animals to human beings.
The biological effects of molecular hydrogen are drawing increasing attention. A large number of recent studies have shown that molecular hydrogen has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and other effects, and has significant therapeutic effects for various diseases. This study takes the first step in the history of biomedical research of molecular hydrogen.
Molecular hydrogen is the smallest molecule known in nature, and it was regarded by the scientific community as the inert gas without biological effects. In 2007, Nature Medicine published a paper confirming that hydrogen inhalation can protect cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury. As of now, nearly 1200 relevant papers have been published internationally confirming the biological effects of hydrogen, and involving 63 kinds of important human diseases.
